Why is Apple like that? Leaving their iPhone 3g users and later users behind. They don't upgrade these devices. For what? for us to left our old iDevices and buy their new ones? It's like a doctor giving medicines to healthy people. Marketing strategy? Jeez, I would like to go Android.

Funny, most Android user can't even get the latest OS with their new phone and you are complaining about an old iPhone not having the latest OS.

    iPhone 3 - released in June 2008

iPhone 3GS - released in June 2009 can still update to iOS 6.0.1 (the latest)

You think Apple should stop innovation then?

Android users cant even update? Are you serious? I have an android tablet and a Android phone. They are both up to date, what i am trying to say was why do apple stop supporting old idevices users, they leave them in the cold, being forced to buy a new one.

Unless you have a technical support question, you're in the wrong place. Questions about Apple Policy are outside the Terms of Use of these forums.

Come back in four years (the age of your 3G now) and tell us how Android is supporting you then.

Yes I am serious, but don't take my words for it.

    This is what Google said:

Unless the hardware manufacturer takes the newest version of android and ports it to their phone and pushes it out then no you are not getting updates. In fact I haven't seen any android devices coming out with a software update like apple does. Apple still supports the 3GS, 4, 4S, and 5. The Iphone 2G, and 3G have been out for over 5 years now ans you want them to continue to update older hardware that can't support the software? Have you tried 4.2.1 on the 3G? It is so slow it makes the phone almost unusable. You just want something for nothing. Why don't you update your hardware since the last time you did was over 5 years ago.
