Hi Everyone,

I have a very basic home recording setup, with the following tools;

M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

Logic Pro

M-Audio Key Studio 49 (USB MIDI)

VoiceLive 2 Extreme ed.

Mac Desktop

I have all the equipment listed working correctly, apart from the VL2. Im trying desperately to work out the set up through my audio interface.

Currently I have the VL2 set up through the interface and logic, with TRS Cables, L and R outputs into inputs 5 and 6 on my interface, it is plugged in to the power and then the microphone is connected with XLR, up to here its fine, I get audio from my monitors, through the interface from the VL2.

I now am trying to;

1. get the USB MIDI keyboard to work through the VL2 for harmonies (but still be able to be played through my interface and studio monitors).

2. I am also trying to do the same with a guitar

3. And the same with a web - based backing track

If anyone could kindly explain the set up ( i.e. in terms of Cables needed/ connections/ and logic settings) in order to get this working I would be ever so grateful..

Thank you

    Sorry, I haven't got the time for a lengthy email at the moment, but at the moment maybe you find something useful here:

    Some screenshots of your Mixer in Logic would give a better picture on how to advice. The buzzy noise can have a lot of causes, starting from faulty ground connections or loose sleeve connection of the same. Try to recall what has changed, before and after this buzz has appeared.

    Good luck!
