I'm having a problem deleting photographs on my iPad using the iPhoto app.  The given directions do not coincide with what really appears when you tap the upper right arrow.  No delete button or trash can appears.  All photos were downloaded using the camera connector kit.  Also many of the photos are multiplying like rabbits.  I have 22 of one photo.  And 10-15 of others.  I follow directions carefully to no avail.  What will happen if I just delete the app?  And the install it again?  Can I do that?  What happens to the albums, photos, events, journals?  I've sen that suggested on this site as many others are having this same problem.  I'm being civil as it is my nature, but it is frustrating.  I like the app except for this experience.  I'm going to the nearby Apple Store later today.  Any help here?

Go to your Photos folder - not the Photo Streaming one. I had the same problem but have deleted all the duplicates this way. Note: it will ask you either to delete this photo or delete everywhere - don't delete the everywhere photos.

I am still having this problem. No matter where I go to delete the duplicates, the only option I am given is "Delete Everywhere." I am not given any other option. Any other help? None of the links listed above helped me at all. This is about deleting duplicates without deleting them everywhere. It says "this photo is in 2 other albums, would you like to delete everywhere?" and I don't have a no option...Help! I'm traveling and running out of room for pictures!

    Have you updated the ios?

I am not having your trouble.

I suspect that a photo may appear as a duplicate when it is the same photo being viewed in different places.

When I take a new set of photos, I make a new album and move the photos I wish to keep into that, which stacks as you add more.

Go to Camera roll' and delete those you do not want to keep.

You can also delete them from 'photo Stream' but they seem to drop off from there eventually anyway.

I love my iPad and wouldn't be without it.

I'm really surprised that Apple have caused people so much trouble over photos.

Apple should sort it out and apologise to those affected AND place a fix prominently where it can be seen.

This problem should not be swept under the carpet.

I shall keep a watch out.
