I'm posting this as I've not seen recent posts regarding Photostream, and Apple may have made changes since the last postings.

When a photo is taken, eg., with an iPhone and Photostream is turned on, that photo goes, via iCloud, to the MacBook Pro. Correct? Then, when viewing that photo on the MBP, what is needed to be done to save that photo inside the iPhoto library? Will the photo resides there, permanently unless I choose to delete it on the MBP?

If, on the other hand, I delete the photo on the iPhone (the device where the photo was taken) does Photostream delete the photo on the MBP as well?

Thank you,

Jay

    1. When you have Photo Stream activated on the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, all photos you take will be uploaded inmediately to Photo Stream.

    2. When the photo is uploaded to Photo Stream, you will be able to see it on Photo Stream on iPhoto on your Mac, but it's not stored on the iPhoto library. To do it, drag your Photo Stream photos to "Library" options on the iPhoto library, so they will be transferred to your iPhoto library.

    3. Photos stored on Photo Stream will be deleted after 30 days. Photo Stream is a sync service, not storage for photos.

    4. If you delete the photo on your iPhone, it will be kept on Photo Stream

    1. If your photos appear on "Photos" category, they are on your Mac, so they will stay there if you delete them from your phone.

    2. "Photo Stream" category contains all your photos stored on Photo Stream. Check if you have them on "Photos" category, and if not, do it
