Transfer of Final cut to new mac!!

Hi, i just got a new mac and have the final cut software, i have used both licenses. is it possible to uninstall it from my old mac and put it on my new mac without having to buy it all over again?  hope this makes sense...

    It depends on which version of FCP you have.  Older versions may not be compatible with the new OS or in some cases, it's just the installer that isn't compatible.

    The FCS3 (aka Final Cut Studio 2009) will install on 10.8 machines. If it is an upgrade version, you'll just need the previous version serial numbers.

     

    It is highly NOT advised to migrate pro apps. All too often many little files do not come over or are not correct for the new OS. This causes enormous grief.
