Do not download MacKeeper, for any reason at all.
There are no Mac viruses to find, and cleaning your laptop should be done externally, with a fine damp cloth.
Windows habits belong on Windows.

There are no OS X viruses therefore there is nothing to check for. The Mac already includes all the protection it needs against viruses and malware. A much bigger threat are the multitude of worthless utilities from companies with the audacity to claim they know more about the Mac more than the engineers who designed it. This site is littered with problems caused by such junk.

At all cost avoid the MacKeeper. It will bog your Mac down to no end!
