All of my ISPs enforce a limit as to the number of recipients one can list in a single email. Of course, one can manually duplicate the email and send to subsets of the original list until all are taken care of. But this is tedious. Is there a way to do this automatically?
If you want to blast out mass mail messages via an old-style client, you'll need to script that yourself, or find somebody that's already scripted it for you.
I'd use a mailing list server. Possibly a commercial mailing service such as MailChimp, or use your own Listserv installation or an open source mailing list server running on your own server; OS X Server or some other platform.
Using a list server has the benefit of allowing the folks to sign off and sign on for themselves, too.
