My iPhone App Store won't recognize my "MotionX Drive" app as the most current version...recurrently tells me to update...in the Update screen, however, the app is updated/purchased and the "Open" button is visible...anyone else seen this problem, and, know a fix?

    Have you tried syncing with your iTunes and see if the update is showing through your iTunes?

    Thanks, but...

    Have tried syncing...have tried removing via iPhone & syncing...have tried reinstalling...have tried removing via iTunes & syncing.

    Same problem...App keeps re-appearing on App Store Update page; either as an indication to Update if it is removed, or to Open if installed.

    If I choose to open it via the Update page, the red reminder disappears; for only a few minutes.

    Any other ideas; please & thanks.

    Thanks for the info Drewvian...but the MotionX GPS app refuses to leave my Updates page in the App store on my iPhone.

    I'm somewhat relieved to see that I am not the only person having problems of this nature.

    Were you able to find XLCamera on your device or devices? If so, did you delete it from just the device or from your iTunes? If you only deleted from your device, try deleting it from your iTunes library as well and then sync your device.

     

    Also, I see that you posted that you marked that my last comment fixed your issue, but your last reply mentions that you still get the update in your app store. I am a bit confused if it worked or not, but if you could clear that up for me that would be great.

    I found XLCamera on the iPhone...then deleted it on both my iPhone and from iTunes on my computer...thanks.

     

    Sorry for the confusion on the buttons...I marked that it helped me, but left the "This solved my question" untouched.

    I'm still looking for the solution...the update request still continues in the App Store, Updates page.

    Thats ok. Have you tried rebooting your device to see if that may clear out the update from the app store?  Also, have you tried doing a search on your devices for MotionX-GPS Drive or just MotionX-GPS?

    I have also rebooted my device, thanks.

    I have searched both my device and iTunes, and there is nothing related to MotionX found.

     

    This is one very persistent gremlin!

    I agree, that this is a very persistent problem. I am now sure that this is an Apple App Store issue. Since they control the app store. By the way, did you sync your device to your iTunes after deleting XLCamera from your device and iTunes? If you did, then I think I am out of ideas. If I think of any more I will let you know.

    Yes, I did synch my device after deleting XLCamera from both device and iTunes.

    It appears that all I've managed to do is get rid of XLCamera...which was an app that I used occasionally...a shame, actually.

    How does one flag this problem to the Apple App Store?

    Thanks again.

    Tried to submit a bug as you suggested...but I'm not a developer, nor do I want to go through the process of registering as one...it appears that they don't want to, or maybe have the capacity to, listen to the noise from the cheap seats.
