Hello. Ive had my Mac mini for about 5 months. About a month ago, I noticed certain sites like yahoo for mail and wordpress were missing things. Lateset yahoo mail says browser not supported. Godaddy mail says browser not supported and wordpress is missing its ability to use TinyMCE (visual editor). I figured it was the browser and maybe my profile ( setting) inside my computer since its not a program thing.

additional info

Firefox - Ive reistalled firefox, reset it (profile) and cleared the cache

Wordpress - reinstalled just about every thing.

Ive also updated Java if that makes any difference

Any thoughts before re installing my OS X.....:)  ?

What other browsers have you tried? Safari? Chrome?

Try setting up a new Mac user (System Preferences - Users and Groups) and logging in there. This will give you a fresh "profile" (reset your application preferences and caches, etc). Any difference?

You can try reinstalling the latest combo update - 10.8.2. This is less intrusive that a complete reinstall.

If neither a new user profile or the update doesn't fix it, a reinstall of 10.8 might be required.

the unsupported browser & visual editor quirks are sometimes due to 'anti-virus' or 'security' software modifying the 'user agent' shown to websites... if you have any such software, that is a possible cuase.
