I have an older used Macbook I purchased a few months back.  I can't upgrade it to Mountain Lion, but my understanding is that it will run Lion.  Currently it's running Snow Leopard.  But I can't find a link to download Lion--plenty of links to upgrade the software for Lion if it's already installed, but that's it.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thanks all!

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and confirm that it has a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU and at least 2GB of RAM, then phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for it.

Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store.  The price is $19.99.
