If you click on your user name you will see your recent posts. How far back it will go, I don't know.

The search capabilities here are lacking to be kind. If you know the community the post is and something unique from one of the posts you can search by:
Entering the test in the search box at the top of the page.
That will show hits (most likely to many and not relevant) but that page will have a way to narrow the search down by community and user. Enter the community and your user name and try the search again.
If that fails you can always fall back to Google search. By adding site:discussions.apple.com to your Google search (or going to Google's advanced search) you can limit the search to the forums.

Hi, Thanks for the advice.
It is very odd. Depending on when I search directly from the community page, different postings of mine appear.
What is odd is that older posts appear in my search than the one I am trying to find.
I had always assumed I could just see my previous posts and had referred back to them often. It was not until today that I could not find one.
Oh well. Thanks for the advice.

If your thread really has disappeared then the usual explanation was that something contentious got added to it and the hosts deceived to evaporate the whole thing.

You can also search the site for your own posts or those by another user. Because your user name has a space in it having started a search you need to use Select People, then Username Lookup. This search is the posts with the term "search" posted by you.
