You would think I would learn not to update these stupid printers.  Seems like each time I do, I cannot scan.  Was scanning using Preview, but not it won't work.  Anyone know how it works now?

Thanks

Judy

    Judy,

It's very tough to help if you don't complete your profile and tell us anything about what iMac you have and the version of OS X installed and what update you're referring to or how the printer is connected to your computer.

The first place to start is to open Disk Utility (Applicaitons - Utilities - Disk Utility) and Repair Disk Permissions, do this 2x. If this doesn't work then use Reset the printing system in Mountain Lion

Did you reset the printing system per the instructions? If you haven't then please do and then restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches.
