My iPhoto will not update, why?

Help, I have a MacBook Pro Retina, and I am trying to update my Iphoto and IMovie apps, but when I click on the "Update" button, a window pops up and tells me that I have to sign in to the account I used to purchase it.  I dont understand this at all, as all my other apps update.  I did change my email address a few days back, and I did make all the changes to my Icloud and store accounts.  I dont think this would affect the update process though.  But this problem has been going on before I changed my email address.


Has anyone come dealt with this type of problem before?

    When you changed your email address did you change your Apple ID?  If you did then that's why you are being asked to log in with the Apple ID that was used previously.


    In the future  questions about iPhoto for the Mac should be posted in the iLife/iPhoto community.  This is the iPhoto for iOS community.
