Internal speakers are not loude enough on high.

Any tricks to get a higher volume.

yes i know i can use external speakers and headphones.

i have gone to system preferences and adjusted both left and right internal speakers to high.

there is a master control slider above the left and right sliders that is grayed out and on lowest level.(why is this grayed out?)

is there a way increase this grayed out master volume and get some more volume and would this even help?

thanks in advance to all even wise *** comments.
