Ouch ! If automatic updates were enabled some of them could be pretty large?

There is an issue announced today with routers where they can be easily hacked if a setting called UPnP is enabled. Do you have UPnP enabled on your router?

I know its not really of any use in this instance but I use a free app called Surplus Meter it helps me keep an eye on broad band usage.

My package gives me 60GB and looking back I have used 31GB in October, 23GB in November and 42 GB in December. However, the last 3 days show 4GB, 12GB and 62.7 GB respectively!
I clicked on your first link and it appears that this isn't a problem - it came up as 'stealth'. I think that something has happened in the last 24 hours which is not down to my usage (I have not changed any settings for automatic updates etc for months).
I am very puzzled.
