Everytime I try and view a photo using QT Picture Viewer it immediately crashes. Here are the error details. I have updated to the latest version of QuickTime for PC and the problem persists. I am on a work PC, running Windows 7 Professional, in a moderately controlled network enrivonment.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

macinmaine, what stood out to me is - network environment. Is your user account a administrator account? If you open the QT control panel to File Types does it show programmatically set? If you right click on QuickTime.qts go to Properties and click on the Security tab do you have full permissions under your user name?

Thanks, this got me to the answer. Specifically, checking for full permissions under my user name.

I am not sure if it was changing the permissions for QuickTime.qts, that did the trick, Because at the same time I also right-clicked on PictureViewer.exe, went to Properties and along with changing the permissions under the Security tab, I went to the Compatability tab and under Priviledge Level, I clicked on "Run this program as an administrator".  The only downside is I now get that annoying pop-up whenever I open the program saying "do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer", but that is a minor inconvenience.

    Thanks again for you help!
