I have three mac computers with final cut X on each of them. Is it possible to edit final cut projects from a central network drive so that when one of the computers is rendering or creating proxy media the other two computers can still work? I find i am sending more and more time waiting and waiting for final cut to render or create optomised files or proxy media. sometimes i sit and wait for hours and it would be great to have another computer to continue work.

You can work on a SAN but only one computer can access the media at a time. You don't have to wait for optimized or proxy files to start editing and organizing your riushes. That will happen when there are available cycles for processing. Switch off background rendering, or set the time to some high value like 10 minutes.

Absolutely and switch to proxy whenever they're ready.

... do you know if I can make multicam clips out of keyword clips? i keep trying to do it but the 'creat multi cam clip' is greyed out. is there a way to do this r am i wasting my time?

    Works here as well also.

    Select a keyword

    Select clips

    New Multica clip.. bam!

Yes, you can create multicam clips for keyword clips.

The clips that you put in a multicam have to be in the same event, though. I bet that is your problem here, not the keywords.
