An alternative can be to wait a day and see if it clears up on its own.
You can also use safari to get into yahoo. www.yahoo.com then access your mail via the web.
If it doesn't clear up on its own you can delete and readd the account info.
There's nothing wrong with your device, it's all on yahoo's end and the changes they are making.
