I am having the same issue. It literally drains 1% every two to three minutes. I have tried resetting the phone and doing a battery reset- running it completely out and then charging it to 100%, closing out everything that could be running and nothing seems to help. I contacted Apple support and they told me it was a software issue and wanted me to pay $250 for a technical support plan so they could help me fix the issue that their update caused!!! Ridiculous!!! This phone is less than 1 year old. I never had any issues until the IOS 6.1 update. Unless I have it constantly plugged in and charging, this phone is worthless. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I'm seriously considering going to get an Android.

So am I, not only with my iPhone but iPad, I agree this is beyond ridiculous, how can we uninstall the update? Apple needs to fix this ASAP. I have read on some of their solutions but none of them works. I started deleting apps turning off Siri and still nothing....I don't think they should charge $ that's not right, they should do another update without whatever they did before turning our phones back the way they were because whatever they are did it didn't work....I'm with you guys I want this problem fixed too!

Hi guys I know what u mean. This is ridiculous about paying them money for technical support when there is problem from apple side not from us. No wonder there share price is going down and Samsung is taking our the Apple. If its gonna carry on like this then I won't be surprise apple will be in category with Nokia n blackberry. All I can suggest is if your phone is still under apple 1year warranty them make an Genius Bar appointment take to to apple store. Hopefully they will solve this issue but then again there is nothing wrong with our iPhones it's the bloody iOS 6.1 update which has got bugs that drains the battery out. My second suggestion is we should scrap the crap apple and move to android if apple not willing to solve our issues.

I was so angry i kept reading other posts about this problem... I found deleting any mail accounts, letting battery die completely, the charge fully 100%, recalibrating it by not taking it off hook, then reset phone *to reset hit off and home button. (I did it a few times before letting it turn back on) after re-put mail account... this helped a bit.... I still notice when using phone it still drains fast but not as fast as it was before. I still hope apple tries to fix their mess up though....

Very poor battery life after updating -- I turn the phone on and can almost watch the battery meter go down.
