Is there a way to use only the keyboard to navigate the menu bar (to select restart, possibly multiple times) and to navigate to any dialogs or windows that cover them up—Help and Activity Monitor windows do this— (so I can clear them for a restart)? Or, does anyone in the Community know a resolution to prevent cursors freezing on sleep?
Turn on Full Keyboard Access in the Keyboard System Prefs.
With that on, you can access all the controls from the keyboard, tabbing or arrowing between them. The spacebar activates the outlined control. Return still works the same for the default buttons.
There are shortcuts to access the Menus. I changed mine to make them more memorable.
If you decide you don't like it on al the time, Ctrl-F7 toggles it on and off.

The Logitech drivers have been known to cause issues, but I haven't heard of problems in quite a while.
