I think the contacts are saved in the "Contacts App", so you would need to remove them by hand or just let it with the pics and so on! If you set the privacy settings right, there is NO way that Facebook could have acces to your contacts!

Yeah, thats correct! But under settings on your iPhone, there is a Facebook setting. If you are logged in, try to log out and see if it would do something, but again, if you set the privacy settings right, there is no way that Facebook could have acces!
And the best way to be REALLY safe with Facebook is, delete your facebook and go to another social network! I've learned it with the hard way

Hey, and I just read something! Try to disable iCloud Contacts, then disable facebook contact sync, wich should be in Settings-->facebook, now scroll to the bottom and click on the contact thing, now the facebook contacts should be gone and you can enable your iCloud Contact Sync again!
