This is the Keynote for Mac discussion, as your query relates to iPad,
you should post in the iWork for iOS discussion.
Keynote for iOS is a very different application and you need someone with knowledge in that area to help.

I appreciate that the Apps are different, but the issue I am having is that a feature I am using in Keynote on Mac is impacting how the presentation functions on iOS. It may be that I am doing something on the Mac that is causing the problem in iOS. It may also be the the solution for my issue is something I can do on Mac, rather than iOS. The purpose behind the December update was to improve cross-platform performance between Mac and iOS for Keynote, so the questions are going to blend more moving forward.
That said, all I want is the answer, so I am happy to take the question to the iOS forum.
Is there a link for the Keynote for iOS forums?

There are many incompatibilities between Mac and iOS applications which frustrate iOS users.
For that reason alone I dont involve myself in Keynote for iOS.
The failsafe approach appears to be to build and present on the iOS device that will be used.
