Keynote for iOS slides with audio files won't respond to taps

For the last year, I have used Keynote for Mac to create presentations with audio slides added to each slide. I then import them iOS devices. Until recently, the presentations operated fine on the iPad, responding to taps to Build In/Build Out, move objects, etc.

I just made my frist presentation since the update to Keynote last December. The audio files still play, but the slides won't respond to tapping while the audio file is playing. Once the audio ends, the taps work again. Builds that are timed to the slide's transition do work while the audio is playing, so it seems that tapping is what is not working, rather than builds being the problem.

The presentations still work on a Mac, I can use builds while the audio is playing.

I presume this has already been addressed in the forums, but I didn't see it in the headings.

This is the Keynote for Mac discussion, as your query relates to iPad,

you should post in the iWork for iOS discussion.

Keynote for iOS is a very different application and you need someone with  knowledge in that area to help.

There are many incompatibilities between Mac and iOS applications which frustrate iOS users.

For that reason alone I dont involve myself in Keynote for iOS.

The failsafe approach appears to be to build and present on the iOS device that will be used.
