Hello, Changing to a new iMac this year has meant that all time machine backups (via time capsule wirelessly) are incredibly slow. All connections are as per previous iMac set which worked perfrectly. I transferred data from previous iMac via migration assistant from the start and everything else works fine. Question: what is the easiest way to restore the speed of backups? Many thanks for your help.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Definitely use ethernet if at all possible.. it is many times faster than wireless.

If not use the computer close to the TC and set the 5ghz to a different name.. force the computer to use 5ghz as it is much faster.
