Ok this is the 2nd time apple has done something like this. You remember how they only made a 32 and 64 gb 3g ipod touch?

I had a 2g thinking it was a 3g. Well i had a couple of friends thinking that they sold 16gb ipod touch 5th generations.

I got a 64gb 5g. I compared screen sizes and saw that mine was bigger. They really had a 4g not knowing it. The 5g delivers

twice the performance that the 4g does with cameras 5 times as good. why does apple do things like this? Why do they try to mislead you?

iPod touch, iOS 6.1

So, your friends purchased a 4th generation instead of a 5th generation. How in any way is that Apple's issue?

I have yet to see any proven case of Apple claiming that a 2nd gen Touch was 3rd. A recent post, claiming just that has failed to produce the evidence, despite claiming that such evidence exists. (The last post told us he/she was in an Apple Store at the time with his/her claim and that he/she would let us know what happened.)

It has always been non-Apple sources that have incorrectly claimed or identified the generation of an iPod.

    This is an Apple page:

and you will notice that there is no 8Gb or 16GB model in the 3rd gen Touch list!

In the store now, is this:

notice that it clearly states 4th generation and if you follow those links (in the store) you will find only 32 & 64GB in 5th gen.

    Look - the new one:

    and the 4th generation one:
