My macbook pro retina with os 10.8.2 doesn´t detect my home wifi. It detects all other wifi networks. All my other devices detect the same network.  The issue has been there for last 2 days and it is intermittent. It detects and joins sometimes but mostly it fails.

I have tried restarting my mac, resetting the router, changing wifi name, password, etc. but no luck.

    How about the wifi channel?

How many other networks show up in the WiFi menu?

For the network you are connected to, hold down the option key and select the WiFi menu. It will show what channel you are connected to.

If you download a program called iStumbler, you can view all the other network's channel setting.

If you are not using a 5Ghz WiFi network, you need to stay about 5 channels apart to avoid interference. If the signal is weak from one of those, it likely won't matter if it overlaps, but if it is strong, the interference could be causing the issue you see.

Most wireless access points come shipped on channel 6. So, if you can set yours to 1 or 11, that might help, unless everybody else around you is on that channel.

    I don't think there is a 20, but 6 or 1 would suffice.
