Mac OS XAFAIK, those adapters are only meant to work with the models that lack an Ethernet port... is there some reason that you can't simply use your built-in Ethernet port?

Thanks for the reply, i agree those are helpful for ones which lack ethernet port, but my question is why did it stopped suddenly(it worked for 4 days), there should be some problem.
And i am using this adapter to eliminate the bending caused in the charging wire, if i use regular ethernet port which is right next to charging port, i have to connect the charging wire from top, which is bending, and apple charging cables don't withstand longstand bending of wires, so i use this adapter which gives enough place for the charging wire to connect normally.

As to the TB to Ethernet adapter try resetting the SMC. It should work on all MBPs that have a TB port. It is not specifically desinged to only work on the models that don't have a built in Ethernet port.

Then if you don't want to use the charging cable in the proper way it was really designed to be attached to the system then you are stuck bending the cable, Using WiFi or getting the TB to Ethernet adapter working.
If the SMC reset doesn't work I would start by seeing if the TB port is still active, Working, on your MBP and then checking if the TB to Ethernet is still working. Could be one of them, the TB port or the TB to Ethernet adapter, has failed.
