The Macbook does not have any previous versions of windows on it, so I installed the fulll version of Windows 8 Pro.  Also downloaded the Windows Support files from Boot Camp to an external hard drive.  The problem is when I run set up on the Windows Support files in order to install the drivers, I get a "Boot Camp requires your computer is running Windows 7" error.  I've seen many successfull clean installs of Win 8 on a Mac, just can't get it to work on mine.  Windows 8 is installed on the Mac, just can't get it to actually do anything useful unless I can get the drivers installed.  Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Boot Camp v 3.0.4, Intel Core i7
