Understood that Boot Camp doesn't officially support Windows 8. However, I have seen several examples on the Internet wh Here people have gotten this to work. I'm hoping for the genius tech guy who can unlock the secrets of getting it to work with my Mac. Help me Obi Wan, you are my only hopeMacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Boot Camp v 3.0.4, Intel Core i7

There is no magic solution. There are no Windows 8 Bootcamp drivers. Some have had limited amounts of success but not 100%. Depends on their specific hardware and needs. Eventually the drivers will be released by Apple but until then it is hit and miss. If you want your computer to work reliably when you need it, stick with Windows 7 until the Windows 8 drivers become available.

On Mac Pro I've saved versions of Bootcamp Drivers for: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.0 and 5.
Windows 8 will not run anything less than 4, I've tried them.
An update to your Mac OS would allow you to get Bootcamp drivers that would work.
