If it connects to "every other place that has wi-fi", then you iPad's wi-fi is working.
It is something to do with you home network.
What is the "security" of your home wi-fi?" Have you ensured the router has up to date firmware?
Power off you iPod, then unplug your wireless router for 5 minutes.
When you power it back on, try connecting then. If another device is using the IP address with the router, it may kick the iPod off
