Free of charge ... NO. Snow Leopard is a paid upgrade.
Before buying anything you should first make sure your machine will accept the upgrade you have in mind.
Minimum specs for Snow Leopard. Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard -Read the Technical Specifications
Note. You can now buy Snow Leopard from the Apple store on line again.
In the USA. Go to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)
In Europe or otherwise … call your National Apple Helpline. Find it at … http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
In the UK … Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (UK) Where the last known price was £14.
Once you have upgraded to Snow Leopard you will need to apply the Combo updater. Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 and follow with a software update to pick up any later improvements.

For 71, and anyone else answering this kind of question;
The URL for the SL update is identical for all countries, except for the country code just after apple.com;
Substitute that with /uk/, /de/, /fr/ and so on for other countries.

Not sure what you're looking for - I don't have a website. My email's there, but only visible when I want it to be.

Now I'm really confused. By accident I clicked on your profile and a message came up. To learn more about noondaywitch ... sign in or register.
I did neither at first but some while after I'd responded to your post I tried to register but the message had changed to an Apple style message promising to 'be back shortly'. Since then the option has gone.

Forum glitch. You're already signed in to be able to post.
The link should take you straight to my profile (which is rather sparse).
