    As a Test:

Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'

Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

    Hello,

Please forgive the fact that I am such a tool for being so ignorant.  Thank you very much for your help.  It does not seem for right now to be quitting.  I followed your instructions.

Are the pictures on my old library gone?  How can I put the ones I want in this new library?  From this new library I dont have any of the albums that are on my facebook.

Finally, why was this happening that my iphotos kept quitting?

  • Terence Devlin Level 10 Level 10 (121,660 points)

You've just created a new Library.

You can switch back to the old Library:

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'

But this was a test - what happens when you try with some files from this one?
