Feb 3, 2013 4:02 PM in response to Roxy10101010by Rene_2008,Same problem here with ipod touch 5 and iOS 6.1 after the update. I'd sure wish Apple would beta test these updates. This isn't the first update that kills perfectly fine running feature.
Very annoying. Both iPads work fine by the way. Just the Touch being barely useable.
Hope the fix will here soon, cause resetting everything does not help.

Feb 3, 2013 4:50 PM in response to BobMoran1968by BobMoran1968,It is now working ...
All I changed is that I accessed and confirmed my Apple's profile to submit my replies to this forum on a separate working device (without iOS 6.1)
Any clue anybody?

Feb 4, 2013 3:33 AM in response to Roxy10101010by FranLM,Same problem with ipad 3.
Never had any wifi issues at all until I updated yesterday to 6.1.
All was fine with 6.01 andthe ios version before that too.
Now Wifi seems to work for 3 minutes then it seems (looks) like it's engaged, with full bars, but won't load anything. My other wifi gadgets and laptop all work fine, so it's not my connection.
6.1 definitely messed something up.
This morning I tried again for 5 minutes and it seemed to work ok, but it was only 5 minutes so maybe the problem is still there unless it solves itself somehow on its own...

Feb 4, 2013 8:31 AM in response to Roxy10101010by DVMfromVA,Same problem. I was afraid to upgrade my iOS from 6.0.1 to 6.1 due to the wifi issues (this is my 4th iPhone 5 with wifi issue) I returned the other three back to the store. As soon as I upgraded to 6.1 the signal dropped and my connectivity speed has gone down from 24 mps to 1-3 mps. I have problem loading pages. WIFI was working flawlessly with previous iOS. What did you do apple! and you don't let us to downgrade to previous iOS! After paying full price for this phone this is not the way it should work! Extremely disappointed with APPLE! If you can't support what you make, I'll return this phone as well and go to some other phone manufacturer!
Frustrated iPhone5 user!

Feb 4, 2013 8:40 AM in response to Roxy10101010by shirley62,Yes I have this problem as well.
Sometimes it will show 3 bars but the apps complain that there is no internet connection.
When it shows that it is connected in the Wi-FI settings the phone can still only use 3G.
This has definately started since I upgraded to ios 6.1.
It also intermittently drops wifi for no reason, even when I am at home where I know the wifi is fine.
Very annoying.
I wish I had waited a bit longer before applying the upgrade.

Feb 4, 2013 11:42 AM in response to GODLAWby joomladoneright,It has to be an issue with iOS 6.1 - my iPad 3 is running 6.0.1 and I still have a WiFi connection on my network..all of my devices with iOS 6.1 keep getting the message "unable to join the network"
I've reset network settings, reebooted, forget this network, reset my router you name it...it does connect after a modem reset but then soon drops the connection.
Again, all other devices NOT on iOS 6.1 connect just fine, including my 2009 iMac.
Please Apple do not wait untill there are 300 pages of complaints to fix.
