Videos didn't appear at all. Ie, I only had 4 photos on the camera, but about 20 videos. I chose to Import all, then Delete photos from camera. I realised after that that the videos were nowhere to be found. I can't see them on iCloud either.

Well they could still be on your computer I know this iusse is very frustrating. I would look at everything on computer and Phone what I mean is I would search all vidoes from Iphone and computer and if you find the videos You do not want this to happen again Because They could be gone forever next time I would go to apple store ask them to pull out my account and see if the vidoes are still there hope this helped Audreymez

Since they are in Camera roll they should be in your iCloud back-ups. If you restore your iPhone from an approrpaite iCloud back-up you will get them back.
iCloud keeps the last three back-ups, and since most of us have them set to run on a daily basis, you should be able to select the right one.
Hope this helps....

Thank you very much. The videos don't appear in the camera roll on the phone, or anywhere in fact.
Yes, upgrades aren't always improvements, it seems.
I appreciate your advice. I will try the iCloud back up.

The videos were on my phone.
I have not seen them in iCloud or in iPhoto.
I can't see them anywhere.
I had not done a backup to iCloud until today, after I'd synced the phone and realised the videos were lost.
Do backups to iCloud happen automatically when in range of my home wi-fi system.
If so, I should see the videos.
But the videos are not appearing on any device.

That's a shame you didn't turn on the iCloud back-up when you first got your new iPhone.
ICloud back-ups will occur on any connected wifi network. They are stored on Apple servers so you can get them from anywhere you have a wifi connection. The iCloud back-up is done daily and keeps three back-ups to choose from
if you backed-up on ICloud BEFORE you deleted them you can restore that iCloud back-up and it would be like the movie Ground Hog Day. Your videos would be back on your iPhone.
I'm afraid they are lost if you have no back-ups before you deleted.

Thank you. So iCloud back ups are not automatic? I must select to do that via iTunes?
It is strange that only photos appear to delete from phone after syncing, and not videos.
I appreciate your advice. Sigh

Yes iCloud can be automatic.
On your iPhone
Storage and back-up
iCloud Back-up =On
"Automatically backs up your camera roll, accounts, docuemnts and settings when this iPhone is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi"
