I wish to switch all my email services to the ICloud -
Currently I log in using my Gmail account - I wish to change that log in to my ICloud email -
You can easily migrate to iCloud, but first .... by "log in" do you mean you're currently accessing your GMail account through Safari or some other browser? If you have been using a browser instead of the built-in Mail app, why? If you want to continue using a browser for an iCloud e-mail account, I'm not sure if you can.
In any case, if you have not done so already set up an iCloud e-mail account. Note that an iCloud e-mail account and an iCloud account are not necessarily the same thing -- you can use an iCloud account for cloud storage without having an iCloud e-mail account. So if you don't have an iCloud e-mail account yet I believe you can do that right from the iPhone by enabling Mail in the iCloud settings (Settings/ iCloud/ turn Mail ON). If you don't already have an account you'll be prompted to set one up.
Once you have an iCloud e-mail account you need to go to your iPhone settings for Mail to make sure that iCloud is your default account for e-mail, contacts, and calenders. If you had already set up GMail on your iPhone, you can delete that account from the iPhone now.
You may also want to transfer your contacts from GMail to iCloud. The file format that iCloud can read is vCard, so go to your GMail contacts (using a computer, not iPhone) and export them in that format to your computer (I think there are apps that let you do this from the iPhone, where it creates a vCard file that you e-mail yourself). Then use your computer to log into your iCloud account, select Contacts, then click the "gear" in the lower left corner and choose the option to import your vCard file.
Hopefully that's enough to get you going, if you have questions post them in as clear of detail as possible.

Let me preface with the fact that I am not computer savvy and therefore what I think I know may not be the right "angle" to what I search.
With the use of your response and "playing around" I realized that my question should been - How do I change my ICloud I-D - nevertheless I think I found my answer.
