I have updated my MacBook Pro to snow leopard. Should I update to Lion or Mountain Lion?

I have updated my MacBook Pro to snow leopard. Should I update to Lion or Mountain Lion?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    Depends entirely what you want to use it for or use it with.   Lion and Mountain Lion will not allow for Rosetta based programs and that means some games and educational matter.

     

    Lion had a very short lifespan (albeit it is not officially dead) and Mountain Lion does not seem to be all it was promised to be.

     

    I have Snow leopard.  It is an excellent OS and well thought of by many here in the forums.   It may only be partially supported but it was encouraging they bought it back on sale recently.    And once you change it is not easy to recover all of your facilities, I read.
