Go to settings (normally the last icon). Click second option from top, then fifth option from top, then select english. Cheers!

Settings is NOT the last icon; shuffle songs, or now playing is the last, depending on whether a song has been playing.

To find Settings, scroll among the last options on the list, and choose the one that makes the ipod names and availabe storage space show up. You'll see the option, Reset Settings in english at the bottom of the list. Although you can change the language this way, it's easier just to go to options up from Reset Settings, and click on that option (language option). At the top of the list is the english option.
