Year, screen size, CPU speed and amount of RAM installed?
What version of OS X you are running?
What is exactly making your iMac slow?
How full is your hard drive?
Do you run any antivirus or hard drive "cleaning" softwares?

I currently do not run any antivirus or hard drive "cleaning" softwares. Any suggestions om what to run?

How full is your hard drive?
What is the last thing you did or noticed when your iMac became suddenly slow?
Did you upgrade the OS X version to the version you have posted in your profile?
