when I was trying to organize one of my bookmark folders by moving some of the saved sites to a new folder, it all of a sudden dissappeared. I haven't been able to find the original folder. I have looked in the text for my bookmarks, but the original one isn't there only the new one I made. I am a preschool teacher and all of my saved sites are on the first folder, can anyone help me?

    Dear Friend ,

First:   use the Spotlight and type anything that reminds you the missing folder (bookmark name ,folder name )

Sometimes we move a bookmark folder by mistake into another one.

Second:  you can check inside the Trash and see if you can recover from there

Third : If you are usingTtime Machine backup you can try recover from there.

    Dea Teacher57 ,

This is good news. Do not worry about losing the folder from now on. There are 2 ways you can move the folder whereever you want :

    1) Open Safari, Go to the top and click Bookmarks and then click Show all Bookmark . A new window will open showing all bookmarks. Find the folder you want to move right click it and chose copy.

Now find the original folder that you want the lost folder to be , click it once and the selected folder is marked go

to the top of your screen inside  Safari you will see the command Edit. Click Edit then Click Paste.

When you are done you will notice two folder the same. You can delete the one if you are confident now.

    2) This solution is very simple but it will not create a copy.

Open Safari, Go to the top and click Bookmarks and then click Show all Bookmark . A new window will open showing all bookmarks. Find the folder you want to move and Click once to mark it.

Now drag and drop the folder where you want it to be. If you do not know how to drag and drop , if you are using external mouse you click and hold the left button and you move the mouse in direction you want the folder to go.

Let me know if you need more help
