So I have produced a newsletter of 12 pages.  I have saved as a template since it makes sense to follow the same layout and colours.

When I have tried to work on it (as a new project), the lag is ridiculous, I cant work with it.  How can I use the same format and not have such lag?

Sorry to be such a numpty but i've had to learn desk top publishing as I go and right now am feeling very, very stupid.

I produce newsletters for an animal charity here in India so any help will be absolutely great.

Many thanks in advance.

Natalie.

ps. I am just trying to send out a qurtery newsletter in the same format.  Right now, I am tearing my hair out.  I really, really don't want to have to create a brand new document each time.

Do you have lots of excessively large images?

Have you lots of wrap set on floating objects?

Have you layered many objects on op of each other?

Are you using complex fonts (especially "grunge" fonts)?

No not excessively but, there are a lot of images.  Would they be layered?  I simply drag and drop the pics onto media placeholders.

Only one font, it is Palatino.

I don't have "not excessively" and "a lot" on my ruler.

How many, and how many Mb each, or pixels x pixels.

Do you have wrap set on floating objects and are they interacting with each other and the text?

Have you applied lots of effects like borders, frames, shadows, reflections etc.

What I am asking is are you making Pages do a lot of work to lay out the document and calculate the text flow through the document?
