Shared "Automatically Add to iTunes" does not index new files

Right now I'm trying to set up a shared network folder where users can drop their videos in and have it be automatically added to a master iTunes library.  This library is then being sent out to AppleTVs on my network.  The "automatically add to itunes" folder seemed like just what I needed.  However whenever I try to add files to it, the files are not indexed.


The folder itself is working.  When I copy-paste files into it locally (on the mac mini running the master iTunes), the files get sucked up almost immediately and I can see them in iTunes.  But when I connect to that folder over my network and drop files in, they just sit there.  Even opening and closing iTunes will not index those files.


Here's a screenshot showing my current settings:

As you can see, the file I added (keyboard is just sitting there.  What would be causing this issue?

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
