Hi I am trying to download an update for my gopro camera however every time I go to update it I get a message saying that I need to install Java and then it redirects me to the Java website. However as I only have OS x Snow Leopard I cant download Java 7 and I have already updated JAva 6 on my laptop but it still does not recognise it.

Thanks for the help.

    Contact the camera manufacturer.

Apple Software Update will provide version _39 as of Saturday 2 February 2013.

use Java Preferences (from the Utilities folder) to verify that's the version you have installed.

It says that I have version 1.6.0_39-b04

That is the latest version of Java that runs under 10.6.8.

Now you need to contact the camera manufacturer -- not to blame them, but to have them help you get it working.

They wrote that software. They should be able to get it to work.
