I know how to export a single clip to Youtube or a DVD or Email etc. But how can I export a clip as a separate file? I want to have several clips separated from the orginal footage.

I thought I could send it to a Bundle but even though I add bundle to the destinations it doesn't show when I click on Share.

Using FCP 10.07

Please advise

Use the Range tool to make a selection in your storyline. Export File as you normally would. If you look closely at the pic below, the circled section is displaying a small range icon and the length of the range selection (12 seconds; 24 frames) -- that's all that will be exported.

Thank you for this but my problem is to export this to a separate file and save it in my MAC. Right now, I can only export to youtube, vimeo, email etc. but not to a separate file.

With a Range selection, go to Share >Export File (the range selection is automatically used.)

If Export File is not avialable from your Share menu:

Click on the Share button (with the storyline "active"/selected)

Go to the bottom of the list to Add Destinations

Find Export File and drag it into the left column

Click on the Export File in the left column and set the *defaults* you want to use for your exports

Close that dialog and click on the Share button again. You should be able to find Export File in the list.
