Try it from another User account, if it works there it probably is a corrupt .plist.
See Deleting iWork from your Hard Drive (but don't) to trash the plist and have it replaced:
In OSX 10.8 you will need awitch to Finder > hold down the option key > Menu > Go to reveal the Library containing the plist.

Thanks for the feedback but that didn't seem to work... I deleted the iwork.plist and the iwork.pages.plist and still not opening...
Is there a way to reinstall iWork without the disc?
