The screensharing CPU issue is still there in Mac OS 10.8.2 :-(
(i have the problem on my mid-2011 mac-mini server)
TOP sorted by CPU shows clearly two "screensharing"/"Screensharing" processes eating each about 45% CPU

Macs use measured temperatures to determine fan speeds in the running software. Unless/Until the CPU usage declines, the fan speed will stay high.
So the issue is that when your screen sharing is done, you need to stop that process that is using 45 percent CPU. Maybe turning off Screen Sharing or Re-booting would bring it back to normal..Mac Pro (Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8), & Server, PPC, & AppleTalk Printers
