The tag is not always the cable maximum. Have a look at the cable or plug and it shoud have a max voltage on it that is mote than the lable for the US. Usually say 100-240 but check what yours says.

Feb 7, 2013 9:33 AM in response to Luxurypopby julesnewtoMac,Luxurypop, the box will have for apple TV and your question is about the plug adaptor. That should have a voltage on it, not the box, which is what you need to check. There is no doubt on the apple TV just check the plug.
I am sure it is 99.99999 ect safe but it is that you should check!

Yes there is a lable as you said. Adaptors have information, albeit small and out the way, on electrical cable and most built in plugs. That is from the cable manufactor and differs from lables put on by the overall product maker. Usually the lable is less than max. Up to you if you want to check it or keep looking at everything but. Bottom line is it will work fine, this is about appropriate insulation for voltage. To openly say it is safe I would need to see the product but if you ask if crossing the road is rik free...

Aug 28, 2016 12:16 PM in response to julesnewtoMacby Cooluck,I have the same question with my ATV 4 gen.
There are 2 marks on cable:
- 2.5A 125V-

Can I use this cable through plug adaptor to euro plug with ATV 3?
