My safari was absolutely normal until yesterday...For some unknown reason, i get this message saying "safari cannot verify the identity of your website"... Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The error message seems to be targetting Facebook and Twitter, I am not logged in or anything. But its always some sort of certificate with Facebook and Twitter.

Well, i had the same problem sometime ago, at first i was really panicky i thought it was some kind of a virus or malware. It happened after i left my mac opened for a period of time and it runs out of battery and shuts off, i read in a tech spot that mac performs a reset when the device shuts off due to lack of charge. It resets the date or time, and lo and behold when i looked at my date it was on January 01, 2012 which is not the current date at that time.
So i suggest before doing some deleting and stuff, try checking your date or else it won't sync.
Hope this helps.

Hello every one,
Please Reset the Date & time of your computer
- > System Prefrencs > Date & Time.
- Here you would need to manually enter the correct date & time. then enable "Set date & time automatically"
- then also check the location service is set correctly.
- then re-start the system.
All the best!!

I have tried that in the past with no success, my computer always has the correct time and date. Also, it only happens when I am logged into my home WiFi. When I use my laptop or any iDevice outside of my home, I never get the error. So, it cannot be the time&date from one particular device. It has to be the router ...
