The point was that I tried it with an USB stick. So now I tried it with the external superdrive on a DVD but im getting a black screen with a blinking cursor before the Windows 8 installation? Any solutions?

I'm having same black screen/blinking cursor problem after trying to boot from the Windows Disk, can't even get to the 'where do you want to install windows screen'.
Would love to hear an answer if there's one out there.

I'm not a huge tech person and don't know much, but it says in the system requirements on Apple's page that Windows 8 isn't supported on Boot Camp yet. Maybe that's your problem.

Yup I know, but I also know people got Windows 8 with OSX running just fine on their Mac machines.
Maybe I can install it via VMware or Virtualbox, but first im going to try it with a Win7 installation.

So you mean I cant have the 1TB HDD in my iMac for a bootcamp installation?
Can I format it to something else?
The weird thing is, im getting in the Windows 8 setup with an USB with the problem in my first post, but when im using a Windows 8 DVD it won't even start the setup. Just the black screen with the blinking cursor

Well I also tried this option: http://huguesval.com/blog/2012/02/installing-windows-7-on-a-mac-without-superdri ve-with-virtualbox/
But no luck, getting a Save MBR failed, exit code 255 when trying to clone the VM Hard drive onto BC.
Think im going to swap the SSD to the HDD bay and put the Superdrive back in
