This bug hits Nikon cameras only, and hits them only on very few installations. We've seen maybe 5 or 6 reports of it on here in the last couple of years. Can you confirm the version of the OS and iPhoto that you have?

OS 10.5.8 (Leopard)
iPhoto = 7.1.5 (378)

In my experience no run running OS 10.7 or iPhoto 09 reports this issue. I know of no fix apart from purchasing the upgrades.

Are these black and white images?

Original Images are all in color. When Working in the editor, they appear to be ok. Then, when I escape back to the event, the image appears but the size immediately goes from the original to zero. When I go back to the editor, the image becomes all black and only reappears intact when I choose "revert to original". Bottom line appears to be that I will have to upgrade my system. Oh well.

I am having the same problem. I am using a new point and shoot Nikon and not my old Canon. I make minor edits and the image becomes 0kbs, zero kilobytes. I upgraded to Snow Lepard and the problem persists. I will now upgrade from iPhoto 8 to 11 and see what happens.
