I have an iMac that was repaired and now has a new HDD.

The repairer installed Mountain Lion (as per the previous state) and created a default account.

I turned on Time Capsule and attached to my Time Machine to restore, but it couldn't seem to see my backups (I checked they were there defore sending the machine away). It seems to have created a new backup and I can't see my old one. There were no warnings that it was gonig to override my backup or anything like that...

Any ideas how I can get the backup back?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Time Capsule
